WHO I AM
So I’m Daniel, and here’s a little bit more about me…
LOCKDOWN LIVING
In a pre-pandemic world, I wasn’t really used to working remotely. So the isolation of ‘stay-at-home’ orders weren’t easy. I’m pretty sure we all missed being in the office (bar some developers), or having the option to be in the office. So I set a challenge to myself to collate and create a video in 24HRS to capture what I was experiencing, and hopefully it could be related to.
Even before the project, I realised I was documenting parts of my days, and these parts could be used to represent the feeling of “LOCKDOWN LIVING’. The result was a beautiful collection of moments, some big, some small but moments none the less. From birthdays and loan trips to ‘dog-breaks’ and new projects, they were mundane, sweet, and even surprising, but it’s what made it bearable… for me at least. And when edited together and shared, it showed people just how connected we really are—an honest reminder that life goes on even in hard times.
And when you look again,
you’ll realise you didn’t know you were making memories,
you were just having fun ;)
UNICORNS DO EXIST
What happens when my passion for sport, knowledge of branding and empathy converge… the making of LEGENDS
On my return from an extended role based in Jamaica, I wanted to do more to increase the number of the LGBTQ+ community engaged in team sports. The benefits of participating in team events are clear, but the statistics of the LGBTQ+ actually involved in sports is considerably lower than “hetro” counterparts. I wanted to change this, and so the Berkshire Unicorns Rugby Football Club was born.
Below is a talk I did for our new sponsors; Amdocs, as part of their inclusivity and diversity campaign. Get the full Unicorn Story:
A PosItive Feeling
I was tasked to create a selection of typographic posters to create a sugar-high positive feeling. Turn-down your speakers. I added a mini motion intro to the event which was played on a loop (sans sound), and the posters were used as templates for screen printing tutorials. NFT anyone?
